Wengen is well-known for great skiing and snowboarding, and is world famous for its annual Alpine Skiing Competition - the Lauberhorn. The Lauberhorn Downhill Race is the longest and one of the technically most challenging on the FIS World Tour. However, Wengen also is the ideal starting point for the family-friendly ski region of Kleine Scheidegg-Männlichen with 110 km (68 miles) of predominantly easy to medium-difficulty pistes. In addition, the neighboring ski areas of the Jungfrau region, Grindelwald-First and Muerren-Schilthorn are readily accessible. ![]() ![]() But also non-skiers enjoy the beauty of this region during winter time walking along perfectly kept paths, riding the mountain railway to the Kleine Scheidegg or even up to the Jungfraujoch - the Top of Europe - or, visit the nearby villages of Grindelwald and Muerren. During the summer, Wengen invites to relax and enjoy the natural beauty on numerous hiking paths in the Jungfrau Region. SWITZERLAND
